Hey Wes, this is Nick Scott. The endurance series as Central Region knew it will not be back for 2015 - there weren't enough entries and it was money losing venture. There is a possibility of endurance racing in a different format, we are working on some options.

So cutting to the chase, I guess HPT is dead for 2015 or did we just not want to chance it by adding to the schedule?

Looks like you'll have to update the Mid America name:

Quote:
We had previously mentioned that the track name was being re-branded as Mid-America Raceway Park, however, after it was discovered that this name existed as the name of a drag strip in Missouri, we changed the name up a bit and went with Raceway Park of the Midlands or RPM for short. We have requested a name change to our Facebook page as well. I hope you all like the new name.

;)

Phil, it is dead for 2015. I'm sure you heard, but I'm posting here for anyone else who finds the post. I want to be there with a newly paved road course, multiple times per year. If you have the interest you can see how it played out in Nick's post here on the forum, not good for us road course junkies.

there are some scenarios where it could stay alive, but nothing we can do except watch it unfold.

I get why they want to do the name change, i hope they make some tangible improvements to go along with the new name.

I'm sure there will be a new sign....

In all fairness, while the facilities could use some updating, at least the surface doesn't beat up on the cars which is nice. ;)
