Last April NASCAR driver and team owner Kevin Harvick tried to be the first driver to win two races, Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, in one day at Talladega. This record has yet to be obtained in the sport’s top divisions as Harvick would finish second in the latter mentioned event. Wendy’s presented Legends competition at Lonesome Pine Raceway, in Coeburn Virginia, Saturday night, July 3rd, and would give two trophies to the same young driver in one night. Of fifty total laps, two races of 25, Justin Carroll would lead 49. After starting second for the first race and placing the pole lap for the second Carroll proved that he, regardless of his age, is a force behind the wheel. Second and third for the first race were filled by Cody Johnson and Taylor Coffman. The final competition held later that night placed Chris McKinney in the runner-up position and Taylor Coffman again rounding out the podium finishers.
