Lucid Moments is right (sorry brkntrxn) - for HPDE, anyone who feels comfortable as a mechanic can tech the car and sign the
HPDE Tech form. It is always a good practice to have another mechanic look it over as well since you'll be traveling at high speeds and want to make sure everything is in good working order. Also, make sure your car has some type of rollover protection that clears the occupants heads with helmets on (ie. "Broomstick test")
But brkntrxn is correct when it comes to race cars and some time trials cars that want annual inspections. He is also correct about the schedule, we will post it about a week before the event because we try to maximize the amount of track time that everyone gets and juggle sessions based on participation. Case in point, we are combining race groups next week at Roebling so they get 4 races - although one will be an IFU for fun.
Here is a link that explains everything you wanted to know about Tech Inspections:

Hope this helps, and as always if you have any questions the fastest response will be by simply emailing
