Effectively Immediately ASC will require the use of the Goodyear 2602 compound (more durable) for the March 11&12 event at California Speedway. Goodyear has committed to making a special production of these tires to meet our needs for the weekend. The softer 2603 did not prove to be suitable for our needs as demonstrated at Willow Springs.
For those that have extra supply of 2603 please use these tires in practice. We hope this does not cause too much of an inconvenience and we are doing our best to find a tire that will perform to the same standards as the 2403.
