I'm always amazed at the amount of "free stuff" and contingency money that is left on the table each year. I've heard thru the grapevine that as we approach year end, there are still a number of contingency programs which are under-subscribed, even though prizes are due to our racers.

So remember...there are regional weekend prizes AND there are year end regional championship prizes IN ADDITION to National Championship prizes. However, in most cases, you've got to do some homework and paperwork to redeem them.

Here's a list of what's available for 2011...and we hope to have the same or better in 2012!!!

"As soon as the tires were opened up in the AI class, the regional championship awards became impossible to distribute. There will not be any regional championship contingency rewards for the 2011 season."

You too, Ed? Angela at Toyo won't answer her phone or return any of my calls. Did you get an explanation or just silence? Or are you only talking about the regional championship money? Have you received any Toyo awards for your "1st finisher on Toyos" since the open tire rule?

Last time I spoke with Angela (a few months ago), she was going out for maternity leave.

Frank, I spoke to Angela about a month ago after I hadn't received anything from the final 3 race weekends. That's 6 races that I submitted forms for. Angela told me I didn't qualify since I didn't finish in the top 3 places, even though I did finish the August VIR races in 2nd behind Cobetto, and was 1st on Toyos. She told me she'd contact her boss and get back to me. After another month of nothing I got in touch with Jeremy Croiset (National Cont. guy), and he contacted Toyo for me. I got an email from him last week that said Toyo would be sending the bucks for the 3 weekends but Toyo would not honor the regional contingency. The post above has the specifics I got from Jeremy. If you're having problems with yours contact Jeremy. I'm going to again after hearing some got the regional rewards. Every $$ helps since we're running Toyos next year.
