Next week I'm picking up my TT project car in California and driving it back to Texas. Looking at a map, it looks like Phoenix or Tucson would make a good spot to stop for a quick night's sleep. I'm not all that picky on the actual hotel chain, but would like to stay in a nice part of the city. Prefer somewhere on I-10 but I'd hop off the highway for a few minutes for a nice place. Looking to spend $100 more or less.

In Phoenix, I found a La Quinta at I-10 and Chandler that looked pretty good.
In Tucson, I found the Arizona Riverpark Inn at I-10 and Cushing.

Are these pretty decent areas?

Appreciate your feedback,
Randy

Anything in the area of I-10 and Ray or Chandler should be a decent place as it is close to a bunch of restaurants and stuff, as well as being on the east side of Phoenix so you will fight less traffic depending on what time you leave or arrive heading back towards Texas.

The La Quinta at I-10 and Chandler is where a lot of west side people stay when we do events at Firebird (about 2 miles down the road) BUT why not just stay at one of the casino hotels? ;)

Sounds like that will probably be the place then. Of course, I could hit a casino on the way back and win back the price of the car (or double the expense!!).

Thanks for the help,
Randy
