hi guys, my name is hugo.

i drive a 04 srt4 that right now is set up for 1/4 mile, car has 10pt cage, gutted, lexan rear window etc etc, car has 66mm turbo.Im looking into making the switch in the future to hpde type racing ,time attack etc etc, but im totally clueless.

looking for opinions on what classes i can run my car after i put a smaller turbo, but itll remain with a cage and gutted. also where are the closes tracks that hold events and all that good stuff

im looking to get into this as just fun, not looking to be competitive at least till i get the hang of it.

thanks

Welcome Hugo!

There is a fair bit of info that you can read on NASA’s website. This region primarily runs at 4 tracks:
1. MSR Houston - as name would suggest it is outside of Houston
2. Circuit of the Americas - outside of Austin and probably closest to you in San Antonio
3. MSR Cresson - over by Fort Worth in North Texas
4. Hallett - in Oklahoma and likely pretty far

You should come out and see an event in person, meet people in the paddock and ask a lot of questions. I find the track going community to be very friendly and willing to help.

As for classing - your car would likely end up in Super Touring ST class. Specific class would depend on your final horsepower to weight ratio.

Hope that helps get you started.
Thanks
Alex

Can’t help you much on the rods. You may want to check with a dodge specialist - somebody like Archer racing would know
