Understood, but there is no way to know for sure until that Saturday morning. If 5 SM guys showed up to register it could change everything. Luckily the races are the same length, it's just one of 'em vs two of 'em per day...

I think what's going on is that existing racers are convincing people NOT to sign up, so they get more seat time

PS- what strategies? These are sprint races. Your strategy should be "go as fast as humanly possible without wrecking or hitting anyone and hope the car doesn't break"

I don't think his car will run for 45 minutes on a single tank of E85, unless he switched back to gasoline since November. This is not an exaggeration!

Again who said anything about 45min races? It's one 30 a day or two. With enough time in between to fill a tank of E85 using a turkey baster

Hey now, the government gave up their "special" support for corn fuel, so the special pricing on clean 105 octane is now even worse. But beyond that it sucks on MPG lol. Nevermind that mark offered to drive the pace car hanging out the window for a refuel. It's not in the rules that you can't do it on the track ;) But yes i'm back on regular petrol, it's even MORE expensive now...so we'll see. Hopefully the new changes will make it a bit more stable.

EDIT: Are most regions racers meeting in the mornings like we did or before the actual race like we are now? Just curious.

Depends on the region and the race director...
